Hey everyone, it's Brad, welcome to my recipe page. Today, I'm gonna show you how to make a distinctive dish, kare-kare. One of my favorites. This time, I'm gonna make it a bit tasty. This is gonna smell and look delicious.

Kare-Kare is one of the most well liked of recent trending meals on earth. It's simple, it's fast, it tastes yummy. It is enjoyed by millions daily. Kare-Kare is something that I've loved my entire life. They are fine and they look fantastic.

To get started with this recipe, we have to first prepare a few ingredients. You can have kare-kare using 16 ingredients and 8 steps. Here is how you cook it.

The ingredients needed to make Kare-Kare:

  1. {Take 1 1/2 of kilo ox tail or Short beef ribs. I used beef ribs in these recipe.
  2. {Make ready 1 cup of unsalted peanut butter.
  3. {Take 1/4 cup of ground toasted rice.
  4. {Prepare 1 of red onions (diced).
  5. {Get 1 of whole garlic (minced).
  6. {Take 1/4 cup of annatto seeds (soaked in ½ cup boiling water).
  7. {Make ready 2 tbsp of brown sugar.
  8. {Take 5 cups of beef stock.
  9. {Make ready 5 grams of Salt.
  10. {Take of flavored oil (vegetable, canola, etc).
  11. {Get of ground black pepper.
  12. {Take of Bagoong (fermented shrimp paste).
  13. {Make ready of Vegetables Ingredients:.
  14. {Take 4 pcs. of eggplant (sliced).
  15. {Get 2 bundle of string beans (sliced).
  16. {Prepare 2 bunch of Baby Bok Choy.

Instructions to make Kare-Kare:

  1. In a pot add oil and sauté onion and garlic, once onions turn translucent remove then set it aside..
  2. Now using the same pot add beef ribs then brown all sides..
  3. Add the sauteed onion and garlic back to the pot. Then pour the beef stock and a cup of water into the pot then bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 1.5 hours or until meat is tender (Add water if needed)..
  4. Turn of the heat then remove the beef ribs from the pot and leaving all the liquid, set beef ribs aside..
  5. Add sugar, ground toasted rice, peanut butter and water from soaked annatto seeds into the pot then mix thoroughly until it’s even in consistency. Turn on the heat to medium then let it boil..
  6. Once sauce is boiling, turn heat to low then add the beef ribs and simmer for 15 minutes. Season with a dash of salt and freshly ground pepper..
  7. Now cook the vegetables separately by blanching string beans, eggplants and bok choy..
  8. Pour stew on a deep bowl and add cooked vegetables on the side. Serve with bagoong..
